Corey Oiesen - President

Corey joined the agency in 1996. As president, Corey directs agency operations, new business intake, client service and employee development. With 14 years of both in-house and agency public relations experience, Corey offers Dovetail's clients extensive experience in a wide range of technology categories. Prior to joining Dovetail, Corey served as Apple Computer's European press liaison. Prior to that position, she served various account management roles at The Hoffman Agency of San Jose and Neale-May & Partners of Palo Alto. At Dovetail, Corey has represented AVG Technologies, APTARE, Virtual PBX, Pillar Data Systems, SiliconStor, AMCC, Aarohi Communications, Asempra, McAfee, Stardust Technologies, Storage Dimensions/Artecon, the Mylex division of IBM, Sun Microsystems, Topio, Solid Data Systems, HyperRoll, ARIO Data Networks and many others. Corey holds a B.A. degree in international studies and French from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.

Mark founded the agency in 1993. He is an active entrepreneur, angel investor and business advisor to technology startups. He currently serves on the advisory boards of AVG Technologies, GetQuik and Flat World Knowledge.
His primary role at Dovetail is business development and employee training. In addition to his responsibilities with Dovetail, Mark leads his next startup, Smashwords, a digital publishing venture. Smashwords is in stealth, and will be incubated within Dovetail.
Mark serves as an occasional contributing writer for VentureBeat, where he reports on innovative technology startups.
In 1998, Mark founded BestCalls.com, an online directory of investor conference calls. His work with BestCalls helped expose the problem of selective disclosure, and was a catalyst for the creation of Regulation Fair Disclosure (Reg FD). BestCalls was acquired by Shareholder.com in April 2003, which itself was acquired by the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in February, 2006. Nasdaq continues to operate BestCalls. Julie Parayno joined the team in 2004. She offers Dovetail and its clients nearly ten years of media relations experience spanning storage, security, semiconductors and design automation. Prior to joining Dovetail, Julie worked at three other Silicon Valley PR firms, including Technical Marketing Programs, Brodeur Worldwide and Welch Communications. At Dovetail, Julie has worked with many of Dovetail's most successful clients, such as APTARE, AMCC, Asempra, Exploit Prevention Labs, ARIO Data Networks, AMCC, Pillar Data Systems, Giant Company Software, Aarohi Communications, NeoScale Systems and SiliconStor. Prior to entering the world of PR, Julie served as an intern for KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland. Julie holds a B.S. in journalism from San Jose State University.

Thomas Zizzo joined Dovetail in 2008, and offers nearly ten years of experience in the communications field as a professional journalist. Tom's background includes writing and editing for Electronic Business magazine, Silicon Valley Biz Ink, San Jose magazine and CRN. He has covered areas of technology that include security, semiconductors and various others along with venture capital and finance. In 2006 he won two Peninsula Press Club awards for first and second place for best business feature. At Dovetail, Tom works on the AVG, AMCC and Asempra teams. Tom earned his B.S. degree in print journalism from San Jose State University.

Mike joined Dovetail in 2008 and brings the agency a wealth of tech knowledge as a self-professed tech geek. Before Dovetail, Mike spent a year as a Public Relations Associate at SideStep.com, the popular travel search engine. At Dovetail, Mike works on the AVG, DeviceLock and UrbanCode teams. When he's not doing PR, he's usually found on a hockey rink and is an avid Sharks fan. Mike graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Sociology.
Keri McKie -

Keri, Dovetail's first employee, joined the agency in 1994. She holds a B.A. degree in sociology from U.C. Santa Cruz, and has completed the HR Management Certification Program through the University of California Extension. Keri oversees billing, accounts receivable and human resources.
